Children of Pasay City, Manila

May 9, 2004: Pasay City, Manila Philippines
Camera: Olympus E10 digital SLR

I went to Pasay City with my friend Erlyin; she was bringing her Tita flowers for Mother's Day, and we had to ride a rail-cart (a basic bench seat, on railroad track wheels) to get through this villiage which is very poor, but ful of very close Families.

The kids are wonderfull, but many are not able to go to school.
...I wish I had taken more images on this day - the villiage looked terrifying at first, to travel through - but Erylin & her cousins were with me, and it turned out I was perfectly fine there, as the people & her Family really welcomed me.

Regards,

Filipinos are very friendly and accomodating people. They'll invite you for supper even if they barely have any food to eat.
