While I had returned to Manila and went to check on Rosa & Edison's Family, I was sitting outside having a serious conversation with Rosa's Auntie Josie - Rosa & Edison were playing right next to us, it was a beautiful afternoon outside on the streets, and business was good for the Family vending candy & cigarettes (small monies that pay for the jeep transport each school day for the kids).

That's when Rodelyn suddenly shouted from accross the street and came running over, and it was the first time I'd seen her since February 2007 when I returned to Manila to shoot & see the Families again - Auntie Josie was clearly disturbed seeing Roddy suddenly appear, as she explained to me that she had taken Roddy in off the streets and given her meals and a safe place to sleep, etc. but after a time Roddy just ran away without explaination, and this was why Josie was so distressed.

I'm clearly not a social worker; I'm just a photographer...but after asking her if she was ok, I did ask her to explain to Auntie Josie why she just disappeared without notice.

Thanks for reading today,
PJAMES
